Well the unofficial start of Summertime is here. Maybe you’ve got big plans for a family car trip this summer. Here’s a great tip for you- redbox your road trip – Want to avoid “Are we there yet?” Redbox a DVD on your way out of town. Pop it in the kids’ portable DVD player (or your car DVD if you have one) and just return it at any redbox kiosk once you reach your destination. Peace and quiet and fun all rolled into one. When you “Redbox it” you’re in control – get the movies you want, keep them as long as you want, return them to any redbox you want, all for just $1 a day. Listen, Redbox works. They have this thing down – movie lovers have redboxed over 500 million DVDs so far… and counting.
You can even reserve your movie online at redbox.com, and guarantee it will be available for pickup at your selected location. There are nearly 20,000 redboxes across America, so wherever you are there’s probably a redbox near you. Check out the Kroger at 1650 Bryan Station road in Lexington for your favorite new releases!

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey college valedictorian had a special graduation gift for her boyfriend - a wedding proposal, which he accepted.
Moments after finishing her speech Saturday at the Centenary College commencement, Emily Hawley called fellow graduate Josh Walker to the stage. She then popped the question, drawing loud roars from fellow graduates.
Hawley didn't have a ring to give Walker and didn't get down on one knee. She tells the Daily Record newspaper of Parsippany (par-SIP'-uh-nee) her proposal was "nontraditional enough."
Walker admits being caught off guard but says he didn't mind.
Hawley and Walker are Maine residents who've dated since they were sophomores in high school seven years ago. They haven't set a wedding date. ___
