What can I say when Lori recommended this book to me, I couldn't believe I hadn't read it yet! Cyndi Lauper was always in my walk-man(drove my family crazy with her "She's So Unsual" tape), Cyndi's video's on MTV blarred on our little TV at home and pics I cut out of magzaines with whatever new style she had(loved her clothes, they made the 80's)....I was a CYNDI LAUPER fan. She has a very interesting story to tell. She had to overcome circumstances personally and professionally, but she made it!! You will find interesting facts on how she fought for "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" and how her record company said she would never make it in the business. Once again, She MADE IT! I'm not even going to lie...my favorite Cyndi song is "Money Changes Everything"(you get the background on the inspiration on that song in the book)...and after all the years practicing my best Cyndi voice...I almost have it mastered, true to her form! It's still a work in progress!LOL Cyndi Lauper fans will love this book....give it a read!!
